Peking Duck served with a Jiugongge Sides & Sauces Friends invited my partner

Friends invited my partner and I to Loong Yuen Chinese Restaurant for dinner. It’s located in the Holiday Inn Golden Mile in Tsim Sha Tsui. We came here to enjoy a special Peking duck set with two courses. Unlike the traditional Peking duck which only has cucumber and green onion shreds, this one serves with three sauces and six sides in a Jiugongge. The three kinds of sauces are Hoisin Sauce, Plum Sauce, Korean Spicy Sauce; The six types of side dishes are cucumber sticks, green onion shreds, sweet bell pepper shreds, pineapple sticks, honey pomelo, Japanese ginger shreds. You can choose according to your preference. The duck was roasted to perfection as the skin was crispy and the meat was tender. In addition to the traditional way of eating the duck with cucumber and shredded green onions and hoisin sauce, it was the first time I added pineapple strips, shredded bell peppers and Korean chili sauce to the duck and wrapped it up with a pancake, it’s really delicious! Other dishes like Minced Duck Meat served with Lettuce, Braised Sea Cucumber and Mushroom with Chou Hou Sauce served in Casserole and Sautéed Prawns with Salty Egg Yolk recommended by the manger were also delicious. The ambiance is nice and the staffs are friendly and attentive too. A bit pricy but still worth a try.
