Shing Mun Reservoir | Highly recommended low-difficulty hiking route | Great picnic spot

Shing Mun Reservoir is on the Pineapple Dam Nature Trail, a hiking route suitable for all ages. Except for a small flight of stairs that need to be climbed at the beginning, the entire road is a flat concrete road. There are no ups and downs along the entire road, so it is very easy to walk. - The most famous thing about the Pineapple Dam Nature Education Trail is the towering and dense Melaleuca trees and the emerald green ponds. During the rainy season, you can also see the beautiful scenery of the submerged Melaleuca trees (the current water level is relatively low and you can't see it). - This time we only went to two famous scenic spots after getting off the minibus station, namely Waterside Melaleuca and Prairie, and then returned the same way. Including the time for taking pictures, it took about 3 and a half hours. It only takes 15 minutes to walk from the minibus station to Waterside Melaleuca, and another 10 minutes to reach the prairie (the location is No. 12). When walking from Waterside Melaleuca to Prairie, you will pass through a forked road. One road is to Dabu, and you should take the other road to the main dam. Remember not to take the wrong one! - If you don’t want to go back the way you came, you can also walk around the pond. Our purpose this time was to take photos, so we didn’t walk that long. Shing Mun Reservoir is really beautiful. It looks great no matter how you take it. It’s just that there are too many people on weekends... Trying to avoid the crowds.
