After arriving in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, one very important attraction is the Independence Palace. It was originally the Governor's Palace of French Indochina, and its earliest name was 'Norodom Palace.' After Vietnam gained independence from French colonial rule in 1954, it was renamed 'Independence Palace,' and after the country's reunification, it was called 'Reunification Palace.' The Reunification Palace not only has significant historical stories but is also famous for its architecture. The large white building with embedded glass windows creates beautiful light and shadow effects, making it a great spot for photography! The architect who designed it even won the Rome Prize! The Reunification Palace is quite large, but the exhibitions and exhibits are not particularly numerous. However, most parts of the attraction are open to the public. You can see the interior such as the reception hall, ballroom, banquet hall, etc. You can also go to the rooftop to see the helicopter and helipad.
