#vietnamtrip Another must-see spot in Ho Chi Minh City is the Reunification or Independence Palace. E It's a historical gem that educates tourists about the Vietnam War. 1 • The palace is huge and centrally located in the city. & There's an entrance fee, but considering the many places to explore, it's worth it. We visited on a Sunday, so brace yourself for the crowds if you come on a weekend. & o What surprised me was the number of locals also visiting the palace. a The building has a modern style, and the façade and lawn with the water feature in front give off an authoritative vibe. • There are counters where you can get audio-guided tours. The rooms are all open for photos, but they re barricaded, so you can only take pictures from outside. * o There's a lot to explore from the basement to the top, so be ready to climb stairs as the lifts are small and not easy to find. @i There are plenty of photo opportunities. na particularly enjoyed the rooftop with its scenic viewpoints. I There's also a souvenir shop at the top where you can buy refreshments for a break.
