Try Omi Champon

I tried Omi Champon at Omi Champontei in front of Hikone Station. The light Japanese dashi soup and generous servings of vegetables made for an incredibly delicious champon. Adding vinegar to the Japanese dashi to change the flavor was something I've never experienced before, especially since Morris's Chinese noodles in Kure, Hiroshima Prefecture, and as someone who grew up in Hiroshima, this change of flavor made me very happy. Naturally, I added the vinegar after eating about half of it and enjoyed it. Even the restaurant staff don't seem to know if it was a coincidence, but I thought it would be nice if the change of flavor, adding vinegar to the Japanese dashi, had a connection to Hiroshima. #OmiChampon #HikoneStation #HiroshimaKureMorris
