The summer solstice on June 21 every year is the day with the longest daylight in the Northern Hemisphere. On the small island west of Helsinki, Finland, Seurasaari holds a Midsummer Festival every year during the week of the summer solstice to celebrate the beginning of summer in Finland. On this day, thousands of tourists come to participate in the celebration. When tourists arrive at Seurasaari Island, they can already feel the festive atmosphere. The first thing they can see is the Midsummer Pole and palm leaves celebrating Midsummer. Walk to the stage and sit quietly waiting for the celebration to begin. There are also stalls selling various Finnish snacks nearby, where you can buy some snacks and eat while waiting. The celebration officially began at 7pm, starting with Finnish folk dance and opera performances.
