Kronborg in Helsingør, Denmark

This castle is a must-visit castle in the Greater Copenhagen area of ​​Denmark, and Kronborg Castle is even listed as a World Heritage Site!! Helsingør is a port town north of Copenhagen, only 5 kilometers away from Helsingborg in Sweden. There are many ferries from Helsingborg in Sweden to Helsingør. Many Swedes come to Denmark to buy beer and whiskey because they are much cheaper than in Sweden. Kronborg is also the prototype of "Eisinor Castle" in "Hamlet", one of Shakespeare's four major tragedies. It is now listed as a World Cultural Heritage. You can see Kronborg by walking straight out of the station. It is very close, and the Maritime Museum is next to it. Kronborg is one of the most important castles of the European Renaissance. It is open only until 5pm and displays some medieval furniture and oil paintings. But I really like the feeling of coming to the port city of Helsingør. Follow the signs and officially enter the city. After entering the wall, there are several small houses on the way to the castle, which look very cute. The ticket is a still from Hamlet. Because the British literary giant Shakespeare's Hamlet (The Revenge of the Prince) was written with Kronborg as the background. Because of Hamlet, Kronborg was listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2000. The castle is as plain as others say, but because it is so plain, they arrange Hamlet's play to be performed at different times and in different corners, so when you walk to a certain place you find that they are suddenly performing a play, which is quite interesting. They will walk around you in their costumes. They are very hard-working actors. When we were enjoying the scenery at the top of the tower, an actor suddenly appeared and walked around. I thought he was going to act and waited for a while, but he just looked at the scenery and left. Finally, as we were about to leave the castle, we happened to encounter the finale of the plot being performed in the atrium. The actors yelled "Follow me! My Friends!" (They were not pretending to be mini-Mayers and had good lung capacity.) Then a large group of tourists including us followed the actors all the way into the castle and watched the last few scenes, including the grand finale in the hall. This part was quite interesting!
