Half-day tour of Harbin Northeast Tiger Park!! (Includes tips)

The Tiger Park opens at 8:30 AM. It’s recommended to arrive right at opening time. Otherwise, the tigers will be full and you won’t get interactive photos. It’s about a half-hour drive from the city center 🚗. Taking a taxi is quite convenient. There are thrilling cars and sightseeing cars to choose from. It’s recommended to choose the former, which has transparent glass windows without iron bars, making it better for photos. The thrilling cars have seats back-to-back at both ends. The meat bucket for feeding costs 20 yuan each, with five large pieces inside. If you want photos with both people and tigers, be sure to choose your seat carefully‼️ If you’re with others, it’s best to sit on opposite sides. That way, if one side looks better, you can move there to take photos. My friend and I didn’t have experience and chose the same side, but it turned out that side had direct overhead light the whole way, making it impossible to take good portraits 😭. Although we didn’t get good photos because of the lighting, we were lucky to see the Northeast internet-famous “Er Maitan” (all dirty and quite funny). After visiting the wild tiger free-range area, you get off the car and visit a traditional zoo-like area with captive brown bears, lions, tigers, and some small animals. It was my first time hearing a lion roar 🦁️. Outside the park, there are many great photo spots. You can also see gentle animals like alpacas and lop-eared sheep in the Cute Tiger Park. At the innermost Cute Tiger Home, there are a few-month-old tiger cubs 🐯—super cute! Spending 3 to 4 hours walking around and taking photos is enough. If you have time, you can also watch the big circus next door (we didn’t watch it because our schedule was tight).         Get up close and personal with wild animals
