Explore the Kuahuqiao Site Museum: An 8,000-Year Cultural Journey

"To see 5,000 years of Zhejiang, visit Liangzhu; to see 7,000 years of Zhejiang, visit Hemudu; to see 8,000 years of Zhejiang, visit Kuahuqiao." On this sunny day, I finally visited the Kuahuqiao Site Museum at Xianghu Lake in Xiaoshan, Hangzhou, a place I had longed to visit for a long time. 🎉 As I entered the site hall, I saw a canoe lying quietly. It is the oldest canoe in the world, dating back 8,000 years! Because of its immense value, the government spent a fortune to build the museum, and to avoid moving it, the museum was built directly above it, which shows its extraordinary value. 🤩 It is said that the ancients were inspired by fallen leaves to invent the canoe, which is a romantic idea. 💕 The Kuahuqiao Site is a place where humans lived 8,000 years ago during the Neolithic Age and is one of the birthplaces of Chinese civilization. The nearby Yuewang City Site is also famous. It was a fortress where King Goujian of Yue stationed his troops to resist the State of Wu. It is known as the "Zhou Dynasty's Victory Site, Yue Dynasty's Famous Mountain" and is a provincial-level key cultural relic protection unit. 👍 Strolling through the Xiaosun Cultural Village at Xianghu Lake, I saw old houses with white walls and black tiles, small bridges, and flowing water on both sides of the bluestone road, and the beautiful scenery of the lake and mountains was breathtaking. 😍 The Meidao Island in the central scenic area is home to more than 3,000 plum trees. Walking on the dam, I felt like I was in a painting. The Xianzhao Zen Temple on the top of the mountain is also worth a visit. The ancients said, "The light of the rising sun first shines on this temple," which is a beautiful place to watch the sunrise and sunset. 🌅 Xianghu Lake and West Lake are sister lakes. Although it is not as famous as West Lake, it traces the history of Zhejiang civilization back 8,000 years and is the birthplace of Zhejiang civilization. It is a great place to take children to visit, to gain knowledge and experience the charm of culture. Just as Sanmao valued museums, Fu Lei also advised his son that other places could be skipped when traveling, but museums should not be missed. This visit felt like a wonderful journey through time, allowing me to appreciate the unique charm of the integration of history and nature.
