Hangzhou | A Taste of the New Year

The Grand Canal Historical and Cultural District includes Dadou Road Historical and Cultural District, Xiaohe Straight Street, and Qiaoxi Historical and Cultural District. Each of these three districts has its own characteristics. Xiaohe Straight Street is the most well-known, with a focus on cultural and creative industries, coffee, and teahouses, and is the largest commercial area. Next is Qiaoxi Historical and Cultural District, which is famous for Gongchen Bridge, a number of museums, and traditional Chinese medicine halls. Finally, there is Dadou Road Historical and Cultural District, which is centered around Xiangji Temple and the National Silk Factory Warehouse, and features Zen culture, tea, dining, and supporting streets. From Xiaohe Straight Street, continue north along the river to reach Qiaoxi Historical and Cultural District. Here, you will find Gongchen Bridge, the starting (or ending) point of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, as well as the China Fan Museum, China Umbrella Museum, China Knife and Sword Museum, China Grand Canal Museum, Hangzhou Arts and Crafts Museum, Zhang Daxian Temple, and a traditional Chinese medicine hall. There are many places to visit and explore. This Lunar New Year, Qiaoxi Historical and Cultural District is decorated with fish lanterns, which are winding and eye-catching. The water beasts of the Grand Canal are very cute. The willow trees have already sprouted. It's another spring.
