Using architecture as a medium, it evokes a resonance between people and pristine nature. XiXi Wetland is distinct from the typical Jiangnan water towns, and over more than 1800 years of natural evolution, it has been endowed with a primitive ecological appearance and profound cultural memory. 🕌 The architects aim to convey XiXi Wetland's unique aesthetic value through their design, creating a resort hotel that belongs exclusively to XiXi Wetland. This concept also inspired the hotel's name—'Mu Shou' refers to the last fruit left intentionally on the tree by farmers to share with the birds, praying for a bountiful harvest the following year—a sharing attitude with nature that runs through the design process of the Mu Shou XiXi project. 🏡 The landscape design also maintains the original ecological wetland atmosphere, with small-scale, point juxtaposition techniques to insert some trails, water-friendly platforms, and structures. Based on the site's unique sunrise and sunset and climatic changes, the design concepts of important landscape nodes are derived from the descriptions of the twenty-four solar terms such as 'Rain Water,' 'Spring Equinox,' 'Grain Rain,' 'Summer Solstice,' 'Start of Autumn,' 'Autumn Equinox,' 'Winter Solstice,' and 'Minor Cold' by the Left River, customizing corresponding landscape sculptures and sequentially linking the entire site's landscape design elements. 🎊 The project reveals different aesthetics with the changing scenes of the four seasons. The waterway design is based on the wetland's original topography, allowing modern people accustomed to land travel to reach the hotel along ancient waterways, obtaining another perspective of XiXi Wetland through the gentle waves of the oar boats. ▪️🏡 Guest Rooms 🏨 The five buildings of Mu Shou XiXi are meticulous renovations of old buildings on the original site, four of which are used as guest room buildings.
