Kido Takayoshi Former Residence

Address: 2 Chome-37 Gofukumachi, Hagi, Yamaguchi 758-0072, Japan. Getting there: It is about 6 minutes drive from the main Hagi Train station. Highlights: This was the birth house of Kido Takayoshi, one of the most influential Japanese statesmen in the late Edo Period and early Meiji Period. The house is about 250 years old and has a small garden, where an over 300 year old pine tree stands. 😬 This is one of the many houses to visit in Hagi with historical and cultural heritage. if you like Japanese art and interior design is a must!
