[Aomori Prefecture] Hachinohe Sansha Grand Festival, Watch the Luxurious Light and Shadow Floats!

The Hachinohe Sansha Grand Festival is the largest festival in the Hachinohe area, with a history and tradition of approximately 300 years. Among them, the "Hachinohe Sansha Grand Festival Float Festival" is designated as an important intangible folk cultural property. At the same time, the Hachinohe Sansha Grand Festival itself has been listed as a World Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. During the festival, the solemn procession of shrines, traditional performances such as the tiger dance, and the parade of 27 floats through the city are breathtaking. The production of the floats is based on folk tales and Kabuki every year, and is full of creativity and passion, showing a strong visual impact and adding endless brilliance to the festival.
