Hwaeomsa Temple in Gurye County, South Korea

Located in Gurye County, South Korea, Hwaeomsa Temple in Jirisan National Park is an important Korean Buddhist temple. Hwaemsa Temple was built in 544 in Baekje during the Three Kingdoms period. It was burned down during the Imjin Japanese Invasion and it took seven years to rebuild to its current appearance. After getting off the bus, walk uphill for about 45 minutes to reach Huayan Temple, which covers a large area. Souvenirs, coffee and tea are also sold in the park. Jirisan Mountain can be seen when the weather is good
