Guangxi's No. 1 Tower - Guiping East Tower.

Known as Guangxi's No. 1 Tower, the East Tower is located next to the East Tower Village Primary School in Xunwang Township, Guiping City, less than 11 km from the city center. After getting off the highway, the car enters a small village road, and after a few turns, you will arrive at the bottom of the East Tower. This 50-meter-high octagonal pavilion-style brick tower has stood here for more than 400 years, which is nothing short of a miracle. As early as the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty (1573), a prefect named Liu Wan'an in Guiping County built a two-story tower, which was increased to the current nine-story tower during the Chongzhen period of the Ming Dynasty (1628-1644). At first glance, the tower's pearl-white exterior looks very stable, simple, and solemn. It is now a key cultural relic protection unit in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. I walked around the tower, admiring its unique features and taking photos from different angles. The East Tower is the core attraction of the scenic area, and there is also a Ming Dynasty ancient brick kiln that is more than 300 years old, which was destroyed by Japanese bombing. In recent years, the relevant departments of Guiping City have restored the site. Walking down the slope from the ancient brick kiln site, you will reach the riverbank. This river is called the Xunjiang River, and there are cargo ships sailing on the river. The most eye-catching thing on the shore is the tall beacon lighthouse. Looking along the lighthouse, wow, in front of you is the place where the two rivers (Qianjiang River and Yujiang River) meet. I stepped on the gray soil on the riverbank and ran like a child in the direction of the confluence of the two rivers, getting closer and closer, admiring the strange picture that nature brings us.
