Guimaraes, the birthplace of Portugal

Guimaras was once the capital of Portugal. Later, in order to carry out the Reconquista to drive out the Moors, the words "Portugal was born here" (Aqui Nasceu Portugal) can be seen on one of the city walls, highlighting its status as the origin of the country. You can wander around the city and walk along the paths of the ancient city at night. There are few people there, and walking among them is a unique experience. When you are tired, you can eat in the square restaurant. It becomes more lively as the night goes on. The whole city gives people a sense of tranquility. There are not many tourists.
