Visit Sichuan Again: Guanghan Confucian Temple

Confucian temples, also known as Kong Miao, are temples in ancient China dedicated to the great thinker, educator, and founder of Confucianism, Confucius. Local Confucian temples are ritual buildings that combine temples and schools, hence the name "temple school" or "school temple". Guanghan Confucian Temple is a left temple and right school. Built in the Jiayou period of the Northern Song Dynasty, Guanghan Confucian Temple covers an area of about 10,000 square meters, with a building area of more than 1,800 square meters. The Lingxing Gate is rich in patterns and exquisitely carved, and the inscription on the forehead area is the calligraphy of Zhang Huaisi, a local sage of the Qing Dynasty. The Dacheng Hall, built in the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty, is well preserved. The treasure top of the Dacheng Hall is two dragons playing with a pearl, and the six hollow-carved cloud dragon stone pillars and 18 partition doors and windows are unique. 🌟Highlights: There are cultural relics from the Han, Song, Ming, and Qing dynasties, including 19 stone tablets (stone carvings) and 2 iron artifacts, which have high historical, artistic, and scientific value. It provides physical materials for the study of Guanghan's history. 📝Tips: Located next to the north gate of Fanghu Park, you can visit it together. If you go to Guanghan to see the Sanxingdui, you can choose to stay in Guanghan City, which is cheaper than Chengdu. There are also many delicacies, and it is also very nice to visit Fanghu Park.
