GILI NOKO BAWEAN ISLAND : GRESIK

Gili Noko on Bawean Island, Gresik is the choice of travelers who want island hopping in East Java. Like this is beautiful. The waves in the morning were very calm without the slightest wave. The wind seemed to be blowing quite slowly, but still quite cool. Our small boat drove without a hitch to Gili Noko Island. Taking advantage of the time, I, who was sitting at the stern of the boat, immediately chatted with the helmsman named Mas Rahmad. From his narrative, it turned out that Gili Noko was a different island. One named Gili Island, is an inhabited island with around 70 families inhabited at the time. Another is Noko Island which is a small uninhabited island. There is only a stretch of sand and a row of cypress prawns. The two islands even from a distance have shown their shape, even though they are almost hand in hand but are still separated by the ocean. The water is so calm, the waves just gently splash around the boat. The reflection of the sun's rays can be seen directly into the bottom of the ocean because the water is so clear. From the boat, we can already see how beautiful the coral reefs are at the bottom. Only 3-5 meters deep in this spot around Gili Noko. Seeing so clear the water here we seemed impatient to jump into the water. After the mask and snorkel were installed properly, I tried to jump for the first time. Sure enough, in one dive I was able to see the beauty of the coral in this Gili Noko spot. Corals of various sizes appear to be scattered without gaps at the bottom of this ocean. Groups of fish can be seen huddled around the reef in search of food. It is certain that the condition of the corals here is still well preserved. In the past, many fishermen used potash and bombs, but after that the corals were damaged and many fish were lost. Therefore, since decades ago, we have realized and started to take care of the coral reefs here. After being satisfied at the first spot, we then headed to the second spot which was slightly away from the island and immediately looked at the open sea. The waves also seem a little bigger, but still in the safe category for snorkelling. After I tried to go inside and go around a bit, it's true that the corals in this second spot have a larger size than the first spot. However, here there are lots of corals. dead and broken plus in some corners I can easily find plastic waste. #beaches #bestislandtraveltowns #scubadiving #naturalwonders#camping
