Yamdrok Yumtso One-Day Tour of the Holy Lake in Shannan, Tibet

Yamdrok Yumtso, located in Gonggar County and Langkazi County of Shannan City, Tibet Autonomous Region, is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet along with Namtso and Mapam Yumtso. It takes about 3 hours by car from Lhasa, with many mountain roads, making it not suitable for those who are afraid of heights to drive themselves. It is very convenient to rent a car or join a tour group in Lhasa. The local altitude is about 4500 meters above sea level, so it is recommended to acclimate in Lhasa for a day or two before going.
