A musuem presenting the story of Ballarat, a goldrush boomtown, it has costumed characters that interact with crowds, horse coach rides and even underground mines. It encompasses a lot of different shops, from areas where you can look at old bowling pins, to shops that display old vintage clothing and jewellery, and even a church and an undertaker shop. There are also areas where you can use a pail to sift through the soil in search of gold, which is a great place of entertainment for families with kids.
