From Spain to Gibraltar! Walk across the runway and you'll see the UK 🇬🇮

Gibraltar, a British territory in Spain 🇬🇮 I entered Gibraltar from the city of La Línea de la Concepción in Spain. After passing through immigration, you can see the runway of Gibraltar International Airport and a rock mountain called "The Rock". Gibraltar International Airport has a unique feature that allows you to walk across the runway. It is said to be the only airport in the world where vehicles and pedestrians can cross the runway. I was really excited to have such a rare experience! After walking for about 15 minutes past the runway, you enter the city. Then suddenly, a British town appears in front of you. I have never been to England, but I was so impressed by the cuteness of the townscape that I thought, "I guess this is what England is like. I want to go there someday."😍 As it is a tourist destination, there are many souvenir shops and restaurants. You can use credit cards, but please be aware that some stores only accept cash payments if the item you are purchasing is cheap. The price of the same item varies depending on the store. If you see something you like, compare them 😉 You can pay in either euros or pounds, but paying in pounds is slightly more economical. There are also currency exchange offices and ATMs. Some stores sell not only postcards but also stamps. I wrote an airmail letter to my family in Japan for the first time and dropped it in the post. There are many post boxes throughout the city, and there is a post office on the main street, so it is very easy to send airmail. It was fun to be able to have such an experience. I was able to send airmail to Japan for 1.15 pounds (as of November 2024). Gibraltar is famous for its monkeys, so there were many monkey goods. There is also a Marks & Spencer, although it is not big. If you only go to the main street, it will take about half a day to see everything, but I had a very good time!
