Peranakan Mansion

The Peranakan Mansion in Penang used to be a residence of a tin-mining tycoon and was later purchased by the current owner, who also happens to be an art collector, and converted into a museum to display some of his collections and also share Penang’s Peranakan heritage. We took a tour here, which lasted almost two hours, and our guide was very animated, sharing stories of Penang as well as the former and current owner and the history of the building itself.
