Exploring Spring at the Vernal Equinox – Fuzhou's Tea Pavilion Park

Upon arriving at a place, if the opportunity is right, I like to take a stroll in a nearby park ~ after all, to experience the local life and culture of a place, besides night markets and vegetable markets, parks are actually a good choice, and they are usually free. Tea Pavilion, as the name suggests, was probably a pavilion in the old times where passersby could rest, drink tea, and shelter from the wind and rain. Now there is a Tea Pavilion Park, just a stone's throw away from Fuzhou's city center, Wuyi Square. There is also a subway station nearby, which is very convenient. Today is the vernal equinox, and it's the perfect time to walk in the park. The main entrance is right by the road, where people coming from the south and heading north might impulsively decide to step into the park. As you enter, to the right along the central lake of the park is a winding corridor, with white walls, red railings, black tiles, and grey paths, which are very eye-catching. On one side of the corridor, there are square windows, and on the pink walls, you can vaguely see a few lines of 'On Loving the Lotus', elegant and charming. Walking leisurely, you can see that the park is laid out around an S-shaped lake in the middle. There is a circular stone path, with stone bridges crossing over, and pavilions and boats. It is truly a scene of small bridges, flowing water, and households, with weeping willows and rippling waves. On the stone path to the west, there are some ancient poems carved into the stones, which those interested might silently recite to themselves, expressing their thoughts. Further on, in a grove of bamboo, you come across another stone bridge, leading to a secluded path, full of interest. Crossing the bridge, you see a towering banyan tree ~ Fuzhou is also known as the Banyan City ~ and looking up at the sky from under the tree, you naturally can't see it, which shows how large the canopy is and how lush the branches are. After a full circle, you encounter elderly people exercising in the morning, babies sitting in strollers soaking up the sun, young girls in elegant Hanfu taking photos, uncles leisurely and calmly practicing Tai Chi under the trees..... Of course, there are definitely the aunties dancing in the square at the park entrance...
