Day 1 in Changbai Mountain

Check in to Lanjiang Hotel. We took the train from Changchun Station to Changbai Mountain Station from 09:16 to 11:47. After arriving at Changbai Mountain Station, we met the bus leader of Lanjiang Hotel and took the shuttle bus to the hotel. The scenery along the way was beautiful, and the driver introduced the scenery of Changbai Mountain. Although the driver recommended that we go to Tianchi Lake on the day of arrival because it was rare to be open the next day, we had already bought tickets for the next day, so we didn't change our plan. Let's see how lucky we are. 😆 When we arrived at Lanjiang Hotel, we saw many snowmen, and the hotel buildings were beautiful. We checked in at Building 3 and were lucky to get a free upgrade to a room in Building 3. The main reason we chose Lanjiang was the package (VIP access to Tianchi Lake, hot spring, skiing, airport transfer, breakfast, and butler service). After checking in, the butler asked about our itinerary and helped us make arrangements. We wanted to go skiing first. We originally planned to take the 2:20 pm bus, but the butler said we wouldn't make it in time and suggested we take the 1:20 pm bus. The butler took us to the convenience store in the hotel to rent ski suits, and then we took the hotel bus to Heping Ski Resort. The free skiing included in the Lanjiang Hotel package was worth it, including ski equipment, but a deposit was required. It was better to go early. We spent a lot of time putting on the ski boots and equipment when we arrived. It was our first time skiing. Haha. Then we went skiing. We didn't choose a coach. We thought it was okay to fall while skiing. 🤣 We took the 4:30 pm bus back to the hotel. We had instant noodles for dinner. Haha. After dinner and a short break, we went to the hot spring. The service at Lanjiang was really thoughtful. The hot spring was within walking distance from the hotel, but there was a car to take us to the hot spring building. The women's changing room was on the second floor, with a shower room and paper bags for swimsuits after the hot spring. The facilities were complete. The hot spring showed the temperature, and we could choose which temperature to soak in. We started with 43°C, which felt hot at first, but we got used to it. 37°C was the most comfortable. Our hair was frozen. ❄️🤣 After the hot spring, we had ginger tea to warm up. After the hot spring, we went back to the hotel and had a good sleep.
