[Fukui Prefecture/Fukui City] It's like traveling back in time to the Edo period! A spot for viewing autumn leaves

𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐩*⋆✈Fukui Prefecture𓂃 𓈒𓏸Fukui City Scenic spot Yokokan Garden Once a villa for the Matsudaira family, lords of Fukui, it was known as the Gosen-yashiki during the Edo period and is a stroll-style garden with forests and ponds. This garden is highly praised by both garden and architecture experts. The excellent water feature and the unity between the garden and the house are truly moving.... Although the structure was burned down during an air raid, it was completed in 1993 based on old documents and opened to the public, and continues to attract visitors from inside and outside Fukui Prefecture. The reflections are wonderful, and the resident (??) herons even flew by, so I spent a relaxing time there. The fact that you can see this well-maintained garden for only 220 yen is such a good value that I want to keep coming back lol. It's a strange feeling to be able to look out over the garden, which was built from the perspective of the lord of the time, from the same perspective as me, after a long time has passed. The snow hangings, unique to snowy regions, were very tasteful. When I went, the leaves were just starting to turn red, but now the whole area is dyed red, so it must be even more beautiful. It's close to Fukui Station, and it's only about a meter by taxi.🚕 It's a wonderful spot that makes you feel like you've traveled back in time. There are some parts where the ground is rough, so it's best to wear comfortable shoes.👞𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄𓐄𓐄𓊆𝑃𝑟𝑖𝑐𝑒𓊇 From the official website 220 yen From the official website of 𓊆𝑇𝑖𝑚𝑒𓊇 9:00-19:00 (Closed at 17:00 from November 6th to the end of February the following year. Yōkōkan Garden

A pleasant surprise in the city and a short walk from our hotel and the station. This small garden is a quiet place for a contemplative stroll around the pond. You can visit the feudal lord’s (reconstructed) villa overlooking the pond and take tea if you wish. The rooms in the villa are open to visitors. This is one of my favorite places in the city. I like taking a stroll in the garden, sitting in the villa watching the koi or reading a book, or having quiet conversations with friends. You can also participate in tea ceremonies here on weekends. Besides being a beautiful garden and villa, this place has an interesting history. There are English-speaking local guides on weekends, so if you get a chance, try to talk to one of them because they have stories to tell. #givethanks #givethanks
