Especially the family facilities and the Wonderful World at the Squirrel Hotel, the kids had a blast, and we are already planning a second visit. We chose Senbora Squirrel Hotel, which is next to Senbora Hotel but with newer facilities. We booked the Elf Castle Family Loft, which has two 1.8-meter large beds and one 1.2-meter small bed, very spacious for five people. It’s just a 1.5-hour drive from Guangzhou. The hotel has three main play areas: Wonderful World, Water World, and the hotel’s exclusive water park. Wonderful World is our favorite, like a big forest park divided into several zones: The amusement area has a Ferris wheel, carousel, etc., suitable for different ages; Dinosaur models from Jurassic Park are spread along the mountain path, fascinating the kids; The petting zoo lets you feed alpacas, piglets, and other small animals, 10 yuan per pack of carrots; The bird park’s parrots are also very popular; The boardwalk on Wetland Island offers beautiful scenery where you can see swans and koi fish. Water World features hot springs and an artificial wave area. The hotel’s water park requires a card for entry, the water is clean, and there is a 1.5-meter deep swimming lane, making it very convenient to play. We recommend the farmhouse restaurant "Mountain People" at the resort entrance, which serves good Cantonese cuisine at reasonable prices.
