Ferrara Monthly Room, a Renaissance painting not to be missed

Ferrara in northern Italy was ruled by the Estense lords during the Renaissance. It was listed as a world cultural heritage because of the preservation of buildings from that period. The real highlight is the frescoes in the Schifanoia Palace, which should not be missed. Schifanoia means "escape from boredom". It looks ordinary. The exhibits on the first floor are ordinary. Women do needlework, farmers build houses and plow fields, young people race horses, boys and girls talk about love, couples sleep together, and nobles play with birds by the pond.
