Most unique landscape.

#myhiddengems Bastei, indeed was amongst the most unique landscapes I came across during my trip to Germany. Since i was in Saxon, like most other travellers Bastei or the bastei bridge in particular was part of my itinerary. These are giant towers of sandstone rock. In a very dramatic manner they connect with other rock formations and some of it looks like a natural bridge. I hadn't seen anything like this before at least in Europe. After doing a bit of research and staying put in Dresden. I decided to do it on a day trip. We coupled it with few other places, namely the town of gorlitz and Rackotzbrucke to make for a full day's worth of activity. It was an hour long drive from Dresden. On the site there was parking, restaurants and public toilets available. Basically once there you can pick any of the short hiking trails. They are all well maintained and will allow you several view points. It seemed somewhat busy during the noon hours, the weather was hot too, but once up there at the bridge the views over the elbe river were all worth it. #basteibridge #myhiddengems #100waysoftravel #summerdestinations #germany #outdoors #singapore
