Erguna Birch Forest

Erguna Birch Forest is located in Erguna City, Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It is a 4A-level tourist attraction themed around birch forests. It is the largest, oldest, and purest natural primitive birch forest belt in the Greater Khingan Range. A birch forest refers to a forest composed of birch trees. Birch trees love light, are not shade-tolerant, and are cold-resistant. They have strong soil adaptability, preferring acidic soil, and can grow in marshes, dry sunny slopes, and moist shady slopes. In China, birch forests are mainly distributed in the Greater Khingan Range, Lesser Khingan Range, Changbai Mountain, and the mountainous areas of North China and the Altai region in the northwest. Birch wood can be used for plywood, fine woodworking, furniture, veneers, spools, shoe lasts, vehicles, sports equipment, furniture, musical instruments, and paper raw materials. Birch sap is extracted from wild birch trees in the primitive forests of the Greater Khingan Range in China. It is a colorless or slightly pale yellow transparent liquid with a fragrant pine smell, containing essential and easily absorbable carbohydrates, amino acids, organic acids, and various inorganic salts, as well as essential oils, betulin, saponins, cytokinins, and more. The dense and beautiful Erguna Birch Forest is praised for its pure and graceful birch trees. The straight branches seem to reach into the sky, and the smooth white trunks are like paper.
