During RENEW, workshops and businesses making Echizen lacquerware, Echizen washi paper, Echizen cutlery, Echizen chests, Echizen pottery, glasses, and textiles will be open to the public, so you can see places you normally can't see, try out traditional techniques in workshops, buy limited edition products, and enjoy local gourmet food. A festival for the whole town! It was so much fun 🥳 . I participated in a semi-order event called Katachiirodori, which is a collaboration between Inoue Toku Mokko's wooden plates and Maruhiro Isho's paints, and had my own original plate made 🍽️ I spent at least 30 minutes thinking about which plate to get and what color to get 😂 In the end, I got a square plate that can be used in many ways, such as sharing side dishes when friends come over, serving 4 kinds of side dishes, making a mini one-plate for a light meal, or making a tea set with teacups and sweets, and I chose brown and cream colors to match my room 🤎 I'm excited because the finished product will arrive by the end of the year. #FuriTabi #FukuiTrip #DomesticTrip
