Vietnam's Little Angkor Wat - My Son Sanctuary

My Son is located near My Son Village, Weifu Commune, Weichuan County, Quang Nam Province in central Vietnam. It is one of the most important Indian temple complexes in Southeast Asia, about 50 kilometers away from the ancient city of Hoi An. In December 1999, it was listed as a World Cultural Heritage by the World Cultural Organization. It is known as the "Little Angkor Wat of Vietnam" and is also the earliest existing site of the Champa Kingdom. Unfortunately, many temples were destroyed during the Vietnam War, causing great losses.
