Dumaguete City Tour

Dumaguete City in the Philippines is usually used as a transit point for island hopping tours, and few people specifically stop there. This time, I will introduce to you some places worth visiting in Dumaguete City. 🇵🇭Dumaguete Seaside Promenade + Night Market The most famous place in Duma city is probably this coastal boulevard! Although the sea water in the city is not as clear as the glass sea on the outer islands, it is dark blue, but it is still very comfortable to walk on the beach and feel the breeze at night. There are also many people coming here to jog in the morning, and the sunrise is also amazing. There is a night market at the end of the promenade at night, with many stalls and places to eat. It is not as lively as the night market in Taiwan, but the atmosphere is also great and the locals are super happy. 🇵🇭Silliman University Silliman University is a famous university in the Philippines and the first American-style university in Asia. The university is right by the sea and it’s huge! The buildings are beautiful and the students are very lively. If you want to visit the school, you must first go to the school office to pay a fee (25 pesos). 🇵🇭Pulangbato Falls + Red Stone Hot Spring The waterfall is not really spectacular, but you can swim in it and there are several pools in the park, which is a good place to escape the summer heat. Admission is 100 pesos and you can play as you please, drinks/food are charged separately. The Red Rock Hot Spring contains sulfur. I heard that running in it will improve your skin. The entrance fee is 100 pesos. It is a separate attraction from the waterfall. 🚌Transportation There are flights from Manila to Duma, about two flights a day, and the flight time is one hour + thirty minutes. For indoor transportation, usually a motorcycle tricycle is available, which costs 20 pesos per person. Don't be overcharged! Talk to the driver clearly before getting in the car. The pier for departure to other islands is at the end of the promenade, and the airport is about a 10-minute drive from the city. If you want to go to the hot springs/waterfalls, you will have to rent a car, which takes about an hour.
