Qin Palace Scenic Area

Qin Palace is a scenic area located in Hengshan Village, Hengdian Town, Dongyang City, Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province. It is one of the five sub-scenic areas of Hengdian World Studios. It was built in 1997 for the filming of the movie "The Emperor and the Assassin" directed by Chen Kaige, covering an area of 800 mu. Qin Palace is based on the prototype of the Qin Xianyang Palace. The designers spent four years designing it, with the city gate, the middle palace gate, and the main hall as the central axis. The corner towers, arrow towers, que towers, watchtowers, corridors, and cloud ladders are symmetrically distributed in the east and west. There are 27 magnificent palace halls, showcasing the street style of the Qin and Han dynasties. Movies filmed in Qin Palace include "Hero," "The Forbidden Kingdom," "The Promise," "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor," "Dragon Blade," and TV series such as "A Step into the Past," "The Emperor Han Wu," "Beauty's Rival in Palace," "Swords of Legends," "Prince of Lan Ling," "Legend of Lu Zhen," "The Legend of Mi Yue," "The Virtuous Queen of Han," "The Legend of Qin," "The Empress of China," "Happy Every Day," "The Legend of Zu," "God of War Zhao Yun," "The Legend of the Condor Heroes," "Chinese Paladin 3," and more. During the Qin and Han dynasties, the front square was mainly used by emperors for worshiping heaven and earth, praying for a good harvest and national peace and prosperity. It was the first line of defense for garrisoning troops and an important venue for military parades and ceremonies. Emperor Qin Shi Huang would also announce important decrees to the public in the front square. ⏳Visiting time: Tickets are required for entry.
