Mount Dongbai

Mount Dongbai is located in the central part of Zhejiang Province, with its highest peak, Taibai Peak, being the main peak of the Kuaiji Mountain Range, standing at 1194.6 meters above sea level. The main peak, Taibai Jian, is located in Huluzhen, Dongyang City, Jinhua, Zhejiang. It has been the foremost famous mountain in central Zhejiang since ancient times, serving as the 'ridge' of central Zhejiang's geography and a lofty symbol of the ancient Yue culture that originated from Kuaiji. To the east of Mount Dongbai lies the Xinchang Big Buddha Temple and Fenghua Xikou; to the west, it connects to Yiwu, China's Small Commodity City; to the south, it leads to Dongyang Hengdian Film and Television Base and Yongkang Fangyan; to the north, it is adjacent to the Zhuji Dongbai Lake Ecological Tourism Area. It is the center connecting many famous scenic and tourist areas in eastern and central Zhejiang, with a clear geographical advantage. Mount Dongbai is rich in scenic spots and historical sites. It boasts the thousand-year-old Zenlin Temple and Nunnery, which began in the sixth year of the Tang Dynasty's Taihe era (832 AD); the remnants of the Tang Dynasty rebel Huang Chao's army's stockpile; the high mountain Tianchi Lake, clear as a mirror, and the Yunnü Spring, which legend says was where the seven fairies bathed and frolicked, with footprints left on the rocks by the fairies when they descended to the mortal world. The myriad forms of the rocks are a refreshing sight for the eyes.
