If you prefer high-speed rail, get off at Dayi Station, and it's a 20 km ride to the hotel. Hotel Rooms: Surrounded by mountains, the hotel offers a variety of room types. I stayed in a double room with a strong design aesthetic, a Dyson hairdryer, incredibly comfortable bedding, and international brand toiletries. The minibar is free upon check-in, and the kettle has adjustable temperature settings, making it easy to enjoy coffee or tea in your room. I didn't see any air vents and assumed there was no air conditioning, but the butler informed me that the hotel is equipped with a state-of-the-art fresh air system, not even found in many five-star hotels. This system draws fresh outdoor air directly into the room, maintaining a constant temperature, humidity, and oxygen level, making for an incredibly comfortable sleep. There was a welcome fruit platter, and a small stew was provided during turndown service—very thoughtful touches. My friend stayed in a themed family room; they chose the camping theme, which included a children's tent, various camping gear, and a warm color scheme. Hotel Facilities: The infinity pool with mountain views is incredibly photogenic. The restaurant offers a rich breakfast buffet; be sure to try the local beef rice noodles or beef noodles. There's also a bar for a relaxing drink. More importantly, even if you haven't booked a room with a private hot spring bath, there are over a dozen hot spring pools facing the green mountains and clear waters, and the staff provides ginger tea, mineral water, and other amenities for ultimate relaxation. Surrounding Area: Near the hotel, you can consult the butler about foraging for wild vegetables. A ten-minute drive takes you to the ancient town, where you can experience local life. You can also visit Xiling Snow Mountain for hiking and scenic views. Or simply find a spot at the hotel to enjoy coffee or tea, unwind, and soak in the atmosphere. Dining: The hotel's Yun Jing Restaurant is truly impressive for its high-quality Chinese cuisine, especially considering its location in Dayi County. The dishes are a feast for the eyes, nose, and mouth. They also have their own brand of plum wine, which is a must-try. If you're craving hot pot, they've got you covered with an endless supply of fresh ingredients.
