"Mingshi Countryside Travel Guide: The Slow Rural Life of 'Little Guilin'"

🍀 This time we visited Chongzuo, a small border city in Guangxi, which perfectly embodies this saying. Mingshi Countryside in Chongzuo, once a filming location for "The Journey of Flower," is surrounded by rice fields amidst its mountains and waters, filling the view with lush greenery. Less bustling than Yangshuo, it offers more tranquility and simplicity. 👉 Stay in the scenery—Chongzuo, Guangxi, is truly ideal for relaxation. Mingshi Countryside in Daxin County is best visited in October. Renting a car from Nanning Airport, our first stop was Mingshi Countryside in Chongzuo. The hotel we booked is right within the Mingshi Countryside Scenic Area, exuding a full vacation vibe, perfect for unwinding~ The front desk offers free bicycle rentals, and cycling through the breeze-swept rice fields is simply magical—instantly washing away all work stress. The hotel pool is also stunning, perfect for swimming and playing under the frangipani trees. 🌈 We experienced morning yoga in the rice fields, sipped rice field coffee, and enjoyed live music at the restaurant and fireworks in the fields at night—utterly cozy and delightful~ 🚗 Transportation: 1. By bus: Take a bus from Xixiangtang Passenger Station or Langdong Passenger Station to the Daxin line. Express tickets cost 74 yuan, regular buses 64 yuan. Then transfer to the Mingshi Countryside tourist shuttle for 10 yuan, taking about 5 hours. 2. By train + bus: First, take a train from Nanning to Chongzuo (70 yuan), then a bus from Chongzuo to Mingshi Countryside (40 yuan), totaling 3 hours. 3. Private car: Direct from anywhere in Nanning to Mingshi Countryside, with the option to visit Detian Waterfall, taking about 2.5 hours. Round-trip costs average around 220 yuan per person. 😴 Accommodation: 1. Nali Hotel Focuses on returning to nature with rich rural views—the surrounding fields belong to the hotel. Offers rice field or fruit banquets, with ample rooms. 2. Yaju Hotel A high-end homestay by the Mingshi River (inside the scenic area), featuring rooms with river views, poolside afternoon tea, and a private butler. Limited rooms, all king beds. 3. Changliu Mountain Retreat Nestled near the Mingshi Countryside Scenic Area, built against mountains and rivers, beautifully blending into the borderland landscape—every window frames a unique view. 4. Longzhou Guantang Located next to Tianqin Zhuang Village Scenic Area in Longzhou County, offering various amenities like an outdoor pool, fine dining, lakeside trails, and family-friendly activities.
