It was a trip to Datong, China 🇨🇳 We visited Yungang Grottoes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its massive rock-cut Buddhist statues. The best time for photography is 8:00–10:00 AM ☀️ when the soft morning light enhances the intricate carvings without harsh shadows. The sheer size and detail of these grottoes are breathtaking! 📸 📍Yungang Grottoes Scenic Area, Urban District, Datong, Shanxi, China We explored Huayan Temple, one of the best-preserved Liao Dynasty temples in China. The stunning wooden 🪵 pagoda and grand halls make for amazing historical photos. The best time to visit is 10:30–11:30 AM ⛅️ when the sunlight perfectly illuminates the golden Buddha statues and the temple’s intricate details. 📍South Huayan Street, Urban District, Datong, Shanxi, China For a truly unique photo spot 📸 we visited the Hanging Temple, built into the side of a cliff over 1,500 years ago! The 3:00–4:00 PM lighting ✨ casts dramatic shadows on the temple, making it look even more spectacular. A wide-angle lens is perfect for capturing its precarious position against the rock face 🙌 📍Hengshan Mountain, Hunyuan County, Datong, Shanxi, China We ended our day at the Nine Dragon 🐉 Wall, the largest glazed dragon screen in China.
