Datong accommodation recommendation: Weidu International Hotel and Zero Restaurant

When you come to Datong, I recommend staying at Weidu International Hotel. I stayed here for 2 nights because I attended my best friend's wedding. Now let me tell you about my experience. [One] The location is relatively good, very close to the ancient city wall, and you can walk there. There is a bus stop at the hotel entrance, and there are many routes. I took the bus to Yungang Grottoes, which took about 1 hour, fast and convenient. There is a Parkson Mall next to the hotel. I went to Xijindao on the 6th floor and didn't have to wait in line. [Two] Service awareness. The service here is very good, whether it is the room service or the restaurant service. During the Chinese New Year, they will greet you with "Happy New Year" or "Good morning." There is a free porridge delivery service at night. You can call the room, but it is best to call in advance. If it is too late, the porridge will be gone. There are 2 bottles of Yibao water every day, but if you drink them all, you can call the front desk to send a few more bottles. You can store your luggage for free. There is a room on the first floor for storing luggage. The doorman is very responsible and told me that I can store it for as long as I want, but they get off work at 11 pm. The buffet breakfast is also good, with many local specialties, but it is best to go early. 8:30 to 9:00 is the peak period, and there are too many people. You have to wait in line for the freshly cooked knife-cut noodles. [Three] Accommodation experience. After checking in, there is a welcome fruit in the room. The hotel is luxuriously decorated, but it is a bit old. Compared with the newly renovated hotels, it is a bit old, but it has everything you need. I booked a 1.35m twin room with floor-to-ceiling windows. I didn't take pictures, but the pictures on the major platforms are basically the original pictures. It was very quiet for the 2 days I stayed, not noisy, and the whole hotel was carpeted. All rooms can basically check out after 14:00. I had to leave early, and the front desk told me not to worry. [Four] Zero Restaurant. I would like to focus on this Zero Restaurant. I accidentally discovered that the 5th floor of the hotel is Zero Restaurant when I was taking the elevator. Many locals also come here. Walk-in guests can go directly to eat without reservation. Lunch is served at 11 am, and dinner is served at 6 pm. I put the menu in the picture, and the price did not increase during the Chinese New Year. I thought the dishes would be small at such a low price, but it was worth the money. Rice is 1 yuan per bowl, knife-cut noodles are 4.5 yuan per bowl, and French fries are 10 yuan per small basket. The price here is really surprising. [Five] Let's talk about the disadvantages. The hotel is very large, including wedding banquets and accommodation, with a total of 28 floors and many rooms, but if it is the peak time for using the elevator, the waiting time for the elevator is very long. I felt that this was a disadvantage on the first day of check-in.
