God-level travel guide for Moxi Park!

Moxi Park is located in Bamei Town, Daofu County, Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Known for its unique plateau stone forest landscape, it is hailed as the "Eighth Most Beautiful Scenic Avenue in China." Preparation Altitude sickness prevention: The park is at about 3,500 meters above sea level. Take anti-altitude sickness medicine such as Rhodiola 1-2 weeks in advance. Avoid strenuous exercise upon arrival and consider bringing an oxygen tank. Clothing and gear: The plateau climate is changeable with large temperature differences between day and night. Bring down jackets, windbreakers, and other warm clothing, as well as sun protection items like sun-protective clothing, hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Transportation Self-driving: From Chengdu, take the Chengya Expressway to National Highway G318, then provincial roads S215 and S303 to reach the park. The total distance is about 528 kilometers, approximately 9 hours by car, with beautiful scenery along the way. - Public transport: Take a bus from Chengdu Xinnanmen Bus Station to Bamei or Daofu, then transfer to local vehicles to the park. Scenic features: Stone forest landscape: The main attraction is a rare mylonite stone forest formed by neotectonic movements. The stone forest has a gray tone with various shapes, and its color changes with the seasons, humidity, and lighting. Tour routes: Main entrance: Take the sightseeing bus to the plank road entrance and tour from top to bottom. You can overlook the entire Moxi Park, walk through the stone forest along the plank road, and exit from the back gate. Then take the sightseeing bus back to the main entrance parking lot. The route is a gentle downhill with low hiking difficulty. Back gate: Navigate directly to the Geological Museum and enter from the back gate. This allows quick access to the popular exotic planet photo spot but does not offer a full view of the park from the mountain. To see the panorama, you need to climb uphill and possibly backtrack, which is not recommended due to the risk of altitude sickness from high-altitude climbing. Photo tips: Best time: 3 PM to 6 PM, when the light is soft and better highlights the layers of the stone forest. - Outfit recommendations: Wear bright colors like red, white, or yellow. Avoid black, dark blue, gray, or colors similar to the stone forest to prevent blending into the background.
