The perfect combination of snowy mountains, forests, and lakes makes every snapshot a masterpiece. Here’s my 3-day, 2-night pure travel itinerary👇 🚗 Itinerary: Day 1: Chengdu → Kangding (4h) → Zheduo Mountain Viewing Platform (⚠️Altitude 4298m, oxygen bottle recommended) Zheduo Mountain is absolutely magnificent! By late October, you can already see the snow-covered mountain range. At the viewing platform, Tibetan ladies sell yak meat skewers, which smell amazing～📍Located right on National Highway 318 Day 2: Xinduqiao → Tagong Grassland (1.5h) → Moxi Park (0.5h) From Tagong Grassland, enjoy a distant view of Yala Snow Mountain. The 15 RMB entrance fee is a great deal! The alien-like terrain of Moxi Park is super cool. It’s recommended to wear bright clothes for photos. 📍Bamei Town, Daofu County, Ganzi Prefecture Day 3: Siguniang Mountain Shuangqiao Valley One-Day Tour Take the shuttle directly to the foot of the snowy mountains. The redwood forest stop is incredibly photogenic! Remember to wear anti-slip shoes. The altitude inside the scenic area is 3840m. Entrance + shuttle ticket costs 150 RMB. 📌 Practical Tips: 1️⃣ Altitude sickness is no joke! Start taking Rhodiola a week in advance, and bring ibuprofen and glucose. 2️⃣ October weather is changeable; layering a thin down jacket with a windbreaker is most practical. 3️⃣ If driving yourself, be sure to check your snow chains; some road sections have hidden ice hazards. 🍲 Food Recommendations: - "Are Tibetan Restaurant" in Kangding city serves authentic Tibetan hot pot. - "Deng Feng Lai Yak Meat Soup Pot" in Xinduqiao is perfect for warming up. - "Lin Meimei Hot Pot" in Siguniang Mountain town offers fresh sliced yak meat that’s amazing. 🏡 Accommodation Suggestions: Both Xinduqiao and Siguniang Mountain have great scenic guesthouses. Be sure to choose one with floor heating! We stayed at Gongga Zong Manor in Xinduqiao, where you can see the snowy mountains just by opening the curtains😍 The plateau wind and snowy mountains can truly heal everything.
