When you set foot on this land, you'll truly feel like you're in a dreamlike wonderland, witnessing some of the world's most beautiful scenery. The continuous snow-capped mountains, crystal-clear lakes, and vast grasslands are all like exquisite works of art crafted by nature. However, this beauty comes with hardship. Traveling through this scenic area can be physically exhausting. "Eyes in heaven, body in hell" is a fitting description❗️ ❗️Must-see attractions in Daocheng Yading 1️⃣ The Three Sacred Mountains of Yading: Xiannairi, Yangmaiyong, and Xialuoduoji, these three sacred mountains are known as "the soul of Shangri-La." Like three mysterious and majestic giants, they guard this magical land and are the soul of Yading Scenic Area. Legend has it that these three mountains have extraordinary significance, representing different deities and protecting the local people. Standing at the foot of the mountains, looking up at the towering peaks, you can almost feel their sacred aura. 2️⃣ Luorong Cattle Farm: This vast and beautiful meadow is like a giant green carpet spread across the earth. Behind it are the towering three sacred mountains, creating a breathtaking panorama. This is the perfect place to admire the snow-capped mountains. You can sit quietly on the grass, listening to the rustling of the wind, and watch the distant snow-capped mountains shimmer in the sunlight. 3️⃣ Milk Lake: This alpine lake, located at an altitude of 4,600 meters, is like a blue gem nestled among the snow-capped mountains. Surrounded by mountains and grasslands, the lake's water is crystal clear and azure blue. When sunlight hits the lake, it shimmers, and the reflection of the snow-capped mountains is clearly visible, creating a spectacular view. It's like being in a dream world. 4️⃣ Five-Color Lake: The name itself is full of romance. At an altitude of 4,100 meters, the lake's water displays various beautiful colors due to the diverse plants growing on the lakebed. Sometimes azure, sometimes emerald, sometimes golden, it's like a colorful oil painting. Standing by the lake, you can feel the magic and charm of nature, marveling at the wonders of creation. 5️⃣ Pearl Lake: Here, you can not only see the beautiful lake, its water reflecting the surrounding trees and sky like a mirror, but also enjoy the best view of the Xiannairi Sacred Mountain. When the morning sun shines on the mountain, the golden light reflects on the lake, creating a picturesque scene that makes you feel like you're in a fairyland. 📷 Travel tips ❗️ Oxygen tanks and hiking poles are available for rent at the entrance. It's recommended to have an oxygen tank in your bag, just in case. Due to the high altitude, altitude sickness can occur, so it's better to be prepared. Hiking poles are a must-have. They're like your hiking companions, supporting you during ascents and descents, saving you energy and making your journey easier. ❗️ After ticket check at the entrance, take the scenic sightseeing bus, which takes about 60 minutes to reach Zhaguanbeng. Along the way, you can enjoy the scenery through the windows: continuous mountains, lush forests, and clear streams. ❗️ Walk about 800 meters to Chonggu Temple. There are sightseeing trams within the scenic area, taking about 20 minutes to reach Luorong Cattle Farm (remember to keep your ticket stub). If you're physically able, walking along the path is also a good experience, allowing you to get closer to nature. Horses are available for riding within the scenic area. If you can ride a horse, do so, as it can save you a lot of energy, especially when climbing. ❗️ If you haven't reached the first rest stop by 2pm, the staff will advise you to turn back. The remaining journey is long, and for the safety of visitors, the staff will make reasonable arrangements based on the time. The second rest stop closes at 3:30pm. So, plan your time wisely to ensure you have enough time to complete the tour. ❗️ The distance between Five-Color Lake and Milk Lake seems short, but it takes at least half an hour to walk. Both lakes are beautiful and photogenic. You can take photos to capture these beautiful moments. ❗️ Pay attention to the time. You need to return to Chonggu Temple by 6pm and take the sightseeing bus out of the scenic area by 6:30pm. Missing the time may cause inconvenience to your trip. ⏰ Scenic Area Opening Hours: 7:00 - 16:40 (last entry at 16:40) Tickets: It's recommended to buy tickets + sightseeing bus (round trip). It's best to enter the scenic area early to avoid queuing for the bus! The sightseeing bus runs from the entrance to Zhaguanbeng, a distance of 40 km, and takes about 60 minutes one way. Entering early not only saves you queuing time but also gives you more time to enjoy the scenery.
