Business and pleasure in Coventry.

Went down to Coventry for a meeting and had a day to myself to explore the city. First stop was Coventry Cathedral which remains a ruined shell after its bombing during the Second World War, apart from its tower and spire, which rise to 284 feet. If open, you can pay a small fee to do a tower climb of 180 steps, roughly about 15 minutes. Right next to it is the Herbert Art & gallery museum which is highly recommend if even you’re not that into the arts world. Various stunning paintings including Lady Godiva. There’s also a small cafe inside the museum. Stayed in the Ramada which is about a 10 minutes walk to the town centre. Overall a fun experience for my first time in Coventry. #historicallandmarks
