#Overseas Travel Bright Angel Trail: The Challenge and Achievement of Descending Deep into the Canyon To truly experience the Grand Canyon, a view from the rim is more than enough. I took on the challenge of a four-hour hike down into the canyon along the Bright Angel Trail, the South Rim's signature trail. Although it wasn't a round-trip, I only hiked halfway down and back, but even this short journey allowed me to fully experience the grand scale and geological depth of the Grand Canyon. The cool air at the trailhead became hotter as I descended, and the path carved into the massive cliffs was both thrilling and tense. While the descent was relatively easy, the steep climb back to the rim required tremendous stamina and endurance. The old stone walls and wooden steps along the trail reminded me of the hard work of the pioneers. As I approached the Colorado River, the changing rock formations unfolded before my eyes, like turning the pages of a geological timeline. The round-trip hike requires thorough preparation and stamina, but entering the heart of the canyon was the deepest way to connect with this immense nature.
