The former residence of Zhou Zhirou is a historical mark of the Anti-Japanese War. On a small hill in the southeast of Huangshan, there is the former residence of Zhou Zhirou, the commander-in-chief of the Chinese Air Force's front and rear command during the Anti-Japanese War. It is backed by Huangshan Primary School, not far from the thatched cottage and air-raid shelter, surrounded by towering trees and lush greenery. The lush vegetation and verdant forests of Nanshan, Chongqing, are closely related to the abundant rainfall. According to reports, the former residence of Zhou Zhirou was built in the 1920s, located on a flat land on the mountainside, facing east and west, covering an area of 196 square meters and a construction area of 268.2 square meters. This building combines the local architectural style of Chongqing, adopting a unique structure of earth walls and wooden beams. Although the appearance is a bungalow, the interior is actually two floors. It turns out that the former residence of Zhou Zhirou was once the residence of Jiang Kui, the chief of staff of the Chongqing Air Defense Command during the Anti-Japanese War. Today, the former residence is well preserved with the stele of Mrs. Jiang, the mother of Chen, and the calligraphy of Zhao Xi, the inscription of Jiang's commander's hall, and two steles with horizontal inscriptions, witnessing that period of history. The imprint of history is preserved here, making us cherish the years of peace even more.
