It is said to be Japan's largest ward off evil spirits and the oldest national treasure Buddha in eastern Japan. Access is a little difficult, and it is a little far to walk from any station, so I recommend going by bus or taxi. The grounds are large and you can spend a very relaxing time there. It gets very crowded during the New Year's visit period, but it was easy to visit in March.
