Safari in Chitwan

One of the main attractions in Chitwan is to take a jeep safari into the jungle of Chitwan National Park! You can buy a ticket from a tourist shop or hotel for around 1000 rmb and the tour times are 2-6 pm. Each tour has a guide that knows the area well and they start at Sauraha Main Street and then a boat takes you to the driver. On the tour, the jeep will drive down the road whilst the driver tries to spot animals. Because everyone is quiet, you can hear all of the wildlife giving it a very peaceful ambiance. Because it is so quiet it gives it a unique feel. If you buy a ticket then the driver will take you straight to the location and the whole experience takes around 5 hours.
