Dabudong War Memorial Museum

#koreatrip Free entrance. Small museum to learn about important events during the Korean War. It commemorates the Battle of Dabutong that took place on the Yuhaksan mountain. During this battle there was a fierce engagement between the local South Korean Forces and North Korean Forces were many local volunteers including police and high school students fought fiercely to save their country. Daegu was the stronghold to stop North Korean Forces that had already invaded 3/4ths of the peninsula with the timely help of the United Nations. Powerful reminder of what Nations can do when they unite with a common goal.
