☕️ 'Ordinary Life', an extraordinary Chiang Rai cafe

ATMOSPHERE Just walking through the entrance of the shop, it's like we've entered a garden house in England. The white shop gives a classic feel, with both its shape and decoration, including the trees planted around the shop. I must say that it goes together very well. The shop is divided into 2 sides: the bar side and the cafe side. The cafe side is on the left-hand side (facing the shop). It's a single-story building with a counter for ordering drinks and a cake display case. The shop's cakes are quite diverse. There are seats both outside and inside. There's also a room hidden behind the hall. This room gives off an English feel to it. In addition to the cafe side, they also have a bar side where you can order food and drinks to sit and eat. It's a two-story white building with trees swaying back and forth. There are seats both inside and outside, just like the cafe side. We didn't go up to see the upper floor, so we're not sure what it's like, but I can tell you that the atmosphere is great. It's perfect for afternoon tea. Or if you like to sit by the water, this place has that too. FOOD AND DRINK Since there were 2 of us, we each ordered a caramel macchiato and a hot tea in a pot. The caramel might be too sweet for our friend. (We forgot to tell him to not sweeten it) But my friend said the coffee was really good. As for me, I was really impressed with the hot tea. There were many types of tea for us to choose from. They let us smell the tea before ordering. I chose Stockhome. The staff said that this is another signature of the shop. It smells really good. It smells like flowers, not too strong. The taste is just right, not too strong or too weak. It goes really well with the scones we ordered. The scones here are very delicious. I like that the shop warms them up for us. They are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Slicing them in half and spreading them with whipped cream and strawberry jam is the best. Sipping tea with pastries in an English garden house is the best. HOW TO GO Just drive following the GPS. The shop has a lot of parking spaces. Don't be afraid of not having a parking spot. Open: 09.00 - 22.00 (Open Daily) Expenses: 300 - 500.- #Chiang Rai #Cafe #Chiang Rai Cafe #Chiang Rai Cafe Review

Wat Rong Khun - White Temple

Start your Chiang Rai trip with ease by taking Sombat Tour's VIP Wiang Ping Bus from Mo Chit in the evening, arriving at Chiang Rai's second bus terminal at 7 a.m. From there, grab a Grab ride into the city for less than 80 baht. Check in to the B2 Hotel in advance, avoiding the 2 p.m. deadline. The room rate is just 315 baht per night. After packing up, head out for a hearty breakfast of khanom jeen nam ngiao and a large bowl of khao soi nuea. Both are just 110 baht. After we were full, we strolled around the city market and unexpectedly stumbled upon Wat Mung Muang, a beautiful temple hidden in the middle of a busy market. We then took a songthaew to the renowned landmark, Wat Rong Khun, which lived up to its reputation. We spent a delightful time exploring the area. Return to the city center to rest, and the next morning, we went to another highlight of Chiang Rai, Wat Rong Suea Ten, whose vibrant blue color contrasted strikingly against the sky. We ended our trip with a visit to the Kok River cafe, "Chiwit Thammada," which offers a peaceful atmosphere, a cool breeze, and a romantic view. We ordered a mango cheesecake, which made our eyes widen with the first bite. It was so delicious, I had to say it was over the top. This 2-day, 1-night trip was both worthwhile and relaxing, and I got to see Chiang Rai's charming side without rushing. Plus, I got a return ticket from Thai Vietjet, booked through a promotion on the Trip app, for just 340 baht (oh my god!). It was an incredible deal! Anyone who visits and gets a round-trip ticket at this price is guaranteed to have change left over for two tickets. #ChiangRai #TravelThailandHalfPrice #RecommendedHotel #ChiangRaiTravel #WatRongKhun #WatRongSueaTen #SimpleLife #CafeReview
