Gaoyiling, a place forgotten by God

Gaoyiling is about 25 km from downtown Chenzhou. The most distinctive feature of the scenic area is the beautiful puddles around the huge Danxia rocks, which are a masterpiece of nature under the sun. The blue sky, white clouds, red rocks, and green water are breathtaking. The main entrance is the South Gate, but it is tiring to go uphill to Longjibei. We drove from Chenzhou directly to the West Gate. The fork in the road below can accommodate eight or nine cars, and the parking fee is CNY 10. The entrance of the small shop 300 meters up can accommodate six or seven cars, and the parking fee is CNY 20. Admission is free for those over 70 years old, and CNY 50 for those under 70. The advantage of entering through the West Gate is that it is not far from Longjibei. Not far from the entrance, there are motorcycle taxis inside, CNY 20 for two people, and about 500 meters to the high point inside. It is easier to walk further, and it is recommended to enter from the West Gate for the elderly and those with poor physical strength. The disadvantage of the West Gate is that there are not many parking spaces. If you park at the South Gate, you can take a motorcycle taxi for CNY 10 to the West Gate, walk all the way down, and then exit from the South Gate. I personally think the essence of the scenic area is around Longjibei, and it is especially beautiful to look out from a high place. When you return to the parking spot below the West Gate, don't miss Daobeiling, the area on the left that is not included in the scenic area, which is also a good place to take photos. Longjibei and Daobeiling are excellent locations for aerial photography with drones, and there are photographers stationed there, charging CNY 150 for a video.
