Chengdu Vegetarian Restaurant 枣子树素餐馆

After eating meat for the past 10 days in Xinjiang, I was craving some good vegetarian food when I arrived in Chengdu. I came across this restaurant located on Level 4 of Platinum Mall. At first, when my taxi dropped me off, I thought I was at the wrong place, the building looked a little old. But I decided to go ahead, took the lift to the 4th floor, and I’m so glad I did! I was greeted by friendly staff who even recommended some of their best-selling dishes. The restaurant itself is clean, peaceful, and has a soothing atmosphere. As a solo traveler, I could only try a few dishes ; the green vegetable yam soup, black pepper mushroom steak, and sweet & sour “pork ribs.” The presentation wasn’t extravagant, but the taste was absolutely fantastic. I finished everything! Prices are reasonable too. If you ever find yourself in Chengdu, give this place a try. You’ll love it!
